Hey everybody,

so I have an issue with my LAN/Ethernet. I've recently got a powerline connector and tried to hook it up to my desktop, which unfortunately didn't work. After plugging it into my laptop, I realized that it had to do with my desktop, since it DOES work on my laptop.

After doing the mandatory Google research I came across some solutions (I've tried all).

1. Update driver - Didn't work, error: Realtak network controller could not found, if deep sleep mode is enabled plug the cable.
2. Check device manager - There is no ethernet adapter in my device manader, which is strange since my mobo does seem to detect it (lights are green + orange).
3. Check BIOS for LAN - Was enabled.
4. Reset BIOS - Did it, didn't work.
5. Remove CMOS for reset - Tried, didn't work.

I'm all out of google answers, so I turn to you guys. Here are my specs:

MOBO - MSI Z170M Mortar
CPU - i5 6500
GPU - GTX960 MSI 2GB
PSU - Some 700w PSU

Thanks in advance!

Yes I've actually tried 3 methods lol, Realtek, MSI and MSI disc drivers all give that same pesky response.
Thanks for the rapid response!

You. Are. A. Saint.

No idea how, but installing the Chipset drivers did the trick. Thanks you so much!
