Computer can't find new graphics card

Okay, so I got my new XFX DD HD 7850 graphics card today. I put it in the slot and I think I have put in all the correct cables because the fans are working fine. But my computer can't find find the graphics card on the device manager, only the on-board graphics. Could someone please help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Common issue if you haven't installed your graphics card drivers.

Yeah, I have done that. Now what do I do?
