So about 2 days ago I washed my keyboard with water, now alot of you will probably think thats dumb and I shouldn't have done that, but I've done it before and I always let it dry like 2-3 days. Today when I tried to plug it in, my computer would recognize the keyboard but they could only recognize it as an ''Unknown device'' so I was like hmmm. Then I got the idea to try to plug it in to my xbox 360, and when I did that it fully worked, the lights on the keyboard were on, I could type and everything. On my computer I couldn't do that and I still can't, what could the problem be? I've already tried to update drivers for my keyboard but it says that I've got the latest drivers so it's obviously not something wrong about that.

SR-71 Blackbird. No, water damage isn't the problem, did you even read what I wrote? It works fully fine on my xbox, if it does that then it has nothing to do with water damage.

Do you have another keyboard that you can use temporarily? Borrow if not 'cos you still need to type and enter a few things in order to try this method -

I have used this in all my PCs for a long time now to clean old things out, and it solves some problems with devices as well.

Alternatively, you could try the Device Cleanup Tool or Ghostbuster at your own risk. I personally believe in manually doing it one by one myself. Tedious but that's me.

I still have this problem, uninstalling drivers didn't work, and it isn't water damage since it works perfectly to any other device but my main computer.

Using the method pointed out in the link, you must uninstall ALL Devices that are light grey in Device Manager after enabling 'Show Hidden Devices'. The dark grey items are what Windows sees as already connected and working.
Go down the list in Device Manager one by one, especially the USB, HID and Keyboard in your case. Obviously, any 'Unknown Device' must be uninstalled. I'm pretty sure if your keyboard works fine, once the above is done, and you reboot, Windows will discover it and install the proper driver again.

Two other possible solutions then.

1. Delete/Uninstall the keyboard from Device Manager, and let Windows re-detect it again. If this still does not work, then...
2. Borrow another keyboard and try. If this works, then buy a new keyboard. If another keyboard does not work, something is wrong with your Windows, and you will have to repair or re-install Windows and hopefully this will solve it.

@ThomasLeong Well the thing is that I don't think there's anythig wrong with my windows since I got the same result when I tried plugging it in on another pc, I think the keyboard might just be dead for all PC's since I've literally tried everything that I can and it just won't work.
