So im trying to upgrade from Win 8 to WIndows 10 and I cant seem to do that as my PC will not restart via the updates request, I can restart the pc by pressing the button on the case however it doesnt complete the software update and i cant upgrade to win 10. This doesnt seem to be a hardware issue however I could be wrong and would appreciate assistance on how to actually troubleshoot this problem.

I had a similiar problem, I could be wrong but believe the thing to do is to extra make sure to update (8.1) 1st - even if its attempting to upgrade 10. I had to use the Windows clean-up tool in the (My PC) properties, and deleted everything including EVERYTHING in System File Clean up, then re-download the Win10 upgrade. It can be tricky to do and not as smooth of a upgrade as some believe.
