Computer compatibility help

Hey,

I was just wondering if this new build I am planning is all compatible. This is only the seco7d time I have built a computer and the first time I just blindly went for it and came away with something I wasn't happy with, so any help would be appreciated.

The build:

Power: Aerocool Strike-X 1100W

Graphics: 4G GTX760 Gigabyte OC

Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme

Processor: Intel i7 2600k

Ram: 2* DDR3 8Gb

All the parts are compatible but some parts don't seem appropriate. For ex, a 1100W PSU is quite an overkill for a single GPU build and the processor is from two generation behind...

Its possible to build a better system within the same budget and I can build you one if you give me your total budget. And please mention for what purpose you are building it.. gaming or something else?
