Computer Component Compatibility Check

hey i've been searching the internet for parts i want for my computer and i've found most of them but i dont know whether they're compatible or not. i'm assuming most of them are compatible since they're all new but i want to check before i spend hundreds of dollars. i'm also going to add in a link to where i found them so you can check the details of them there (it's an Australian website because i'm from Australia) if you can help then thanks.

Don't get the Network adaptor, there is a gigabit one already on the motherboard. Even a Cheapo 500-watt that comes with the case should be enough to power the build.

I assume you don't want or need a CD_ROM drive if you don't have one already.

May I ask budget and purpose for better recommendations?

if you can recommend a good CD-ROM that'd be great. I'm willing to spend around $1000 AUD since on msy.com.au a lot of the parts there are cheaper. Basically I just made this topic to see if these parts were compatible and if anyone could recommend anything better for this PC (I'm building it to suit games like Call of Duty and Battlefield)

Don't use a case with a built in PSU if you can possibly help it. That has the potential to be bad news down the road. The PSU and the GPU are.the.two most important parts of any build and you do not want to skimp or compromise in these areas if you can possibly help it.

would it be possible for me to buy this case and buy a separate 900W PSU so I can replace the one that comes with this case, just to save a bit of money and having a spare PSU that may work in case a newer one dies, or would you think it'd be better for me to get a whole new case and buy this 900W PSU that I've been looking at? thanks for taking the time to reply by the way

You can replace the one that comes with the case for sure. I'd have to see the PSU you're considering before I recommend it - I'm pretty picky about the PSUs I choose now. :lol:

The power supply I'm looking at is an Antec HCG-900 'High Current Gamer Gaming PSU'. The link for it on this website is http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=7999 It should have some extra details aside from the name but for certain I do know it's a 900W PSU.

That should work fine - as long as it's certified and rated 80+ bronze or better you should be good - do not get anything less than bronze.
