Hello,

My pc crashes while gaming while playing the game and the temperature reaches 101°C the screen goes black and i hear a loud fan noise i think. I have this in many games like pubg, ark, h1z1 and some other games but like in CS:GO if i limit my fps to 60 it doesn't crash, but if it is unlimited it crashes after 30minutes. I didn't check yet if it crashes because of the temperature if i have unlimited FPS but i know thats probably the case. I don't really know what to do. Here is some info about my pc:

Intel Core i5 processor 3350P.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX660 1.5GB.
16GB RAM.
idk what else to put here, if you want something extra that you wanna know about my pc specs, let me know. Sorry for my english.

Thanks,

download HWmonitor and check your temps for CPU and GPU.

you can also clean your computer of dust. remove dust inside your GPU. also check your CPU cooler fans and heatsink. youtube on how to clean your PC.

if cleaning doesnt help, you may need to buy a new CPU cooler for your chip if its the cause of the overheat shutdowns. or just replace the thermal paste if your CPU cooler is decent.

Specifically, which GTX 660 do you own?
I switched to a GTX 660 because my previous GPU would overheat and crash.
Never had a temperature problem with the 660.

My wild uninformed guess is that you have a 2 fan GPU cooler.
One fan has died and the other is spinning faster to try to keep up, but it can't.
