Question Computer crashed and wont turn on a week after building.

Its been a week since i built my pc everything worked find until today i played cyberpunk on it and it crashed and wont turn on. When i try to turn it on the fan barely moves then stops and the ethernet light is working. Ive checked all the cables are connected, also tried with the gpu disconnected still the same.

The problem was the psu i replaced it and it worked perfectly again. Why did the psu fail? and what can i do to prevent it from happening again
