Hello and thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to look over this and help ^_^.

So, my problem is that the computer just crashes and requires a hard reboot when I play games, games vary from Minecraft to Bioshock Infinite.

I have had to replace a stick of RAM before due to it being faulty and causing BSoD's but this has since been fixed and I don't believe it's the problem. I feel it is my powersupply, it is not an 80+ certified one, it's just your bog standard 800w supply.

My Specs:
PSU: 800w non 80+ certified (unsure of brand.... yeah, it's that crappy hence why I believe it could be the problem XD )
MoBo: ASUS M5A97 Pro
Graphics Card: nVidia Geforce GTx 560 830MHz edition
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 960T
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3 (2x4GB)

Also Network Card and peripherals/case etc. but I don't think its necessary to list all that xP

The crashes shouldn't be from overheating, I have completely disassembled and reassembled the system and have removed dust that has built up. The PC also crashes when running furmark which happens after about 30 seconds or so and the GPU heat only gets to 58 degrees celsius, which shouldn't cause complete system crashing should it?

Once again thank-you to anyone with steps to help or a helping opinion.
Best Regards - Mike.

Is there a way of being positive the power supply is to blame (even though it most likely is) without buying a new one and testing a replacement? also if I were to buy a new one would you suggest I get the same wattage but an 80+ Bronze certified PSU?

Thanks for the fast reply

BUMP.

Can someone please help and give me some tests etc. to find out what is causing my whole system to crash and require a hard restart whenever I play games? Thanks :)

Can someone please help?

The system stay on and powered (fans are still spinning and LED lights etc. are on), however the display is lost and the CPU LED on the motherboard goes red. This happens when gaming as well as just now when I tried adding an effect onto a webcam.

I don't want to buy a new PSU to find out that it wasn't even the problem ya'know... that'd be £60=£120 down the drain pretty much..
