Hi all

I’m having an issue where I will be gaming and when I open iTunes to sync a device eg: transfer movies, music. My game fps drops to 0 then it freezes and my computer restarts I can’t even open task manager to end task. I had windows 10 home x64 which the problem persisted and I have upgraded to windows 11 x64 and the problem is still there.

Everything is up to date. Any help would be great My pc specs are

I9 13900k
32gb Ram DDR 7200
Amd RX 7900 XTX
Asus Rog Strix Z790
1000w Psu

Did you upgrade using the internal OS upgrade path? If so, fabricate a bootable USB isntaller for Windows 11 using Windows Media Creation Tools and reinstall the OS, after a format. I'd advise on making sure that the BIOS is up to date prior to reinstalling the OS.

Would also pay dividends if you had the drivers for your platform on a USB drive, to use to manually install the drivers in an elevated command after OS install is complete. Just an FYI, install Windows 11 in offline mode.

1000W is the advertised wattage of the unit. Make and model of the PSU you're working with?

What I did prior to upgrading to windows 11 was do a clean os installation where I wiped my drive multiple times because of this issue and then I reinstalled windows 10 from the ssd. I upgraded to windows 11 from the windows update tool and the problem is still there. Is the bios version the same on windows 10 and 11 or is it completely different? I haven’t checked

My psu is the Asus Rog Strix 1000g

Sounds like a problem where you have exceeded the capability of your computer. What does performance manager show when the problem occurs?
