Computer crashes with Overclocked 1700X when trying to render in Sony Vegas

A while ago, I made a thread very similar to this about virtually the same issue when I had an AMD FX cpu. Basically whenever I overclock my CPU (which I'm going to assume is stable, as I followed a guide using the same hardware) everything seems to work just fine. But whenever I begin to try and render a video in Sony Vegas, my entire computer shuts off without warning after a few minutes. I am going to automatically associate the problem with overclocking since rendering videos before, using my system at its base clocks/voltages, everything worked just fine. Same thing with my previous FX build.

I also tried lowering rendering threads from 16 to 4 in Vegas and that kept the rendering going a bit longer before crashing, but it didn't solve the problem. Looking at my CPU temps while rendering, it fluctuates from 70.0 C to about 90.2 C and usually lingers around 86. 0 C. I want to solve this problem without compromising my overclock. If necessary, I can list my system specs and voltages. Thanks. ;)

Alright, so here's what I tried so far:

4.1 GHz; 1.3875V - Refused to boot
4.0 GHz; 1.3875V - Booted, but PC shut off right after starting my video render
3.8 GHz; 1.3975V - Same as the latter, but shut off a bit later

I've heard about setting the voltage to 1.4V, but I don't know if that would be considered overkill. I also want to mention I have Cool n' Quiet enabled on the motherboard and the SOC voltage is set to 1.2V.

That's what I was kind of thinking. I thought about lowering the voltage to 1.35V as that's what a few other articles read.

2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000. Base clock speed was 2933MHz, upon overclocking, it raised to 3066MHz.

Rendering before overclocking was perfectly fine. Now should I try just overclocking my RAM or just overclocking my CPU separately?

try to bump up the ram lastly, take the cpu clock and slowly bring it up, voltage with it as well, do some stress testing, then rinse/repeat until you get instability issues. then just tone it back a little bit from there. Lastly follow the same procedure with the ram, i was able to get my lpx 3000mhz to 3200mhz

I'll try that. The strange thing is, once I overclocked the CPU, the RAM speeds auto defaulted to 3200. However in my task manager, the speeds are only 3066. I should also probably mention, I only have XMP profile 1, not profile 2.
