Computer Crashing Issues

My computer has been shutting down at random times, but mostly while I've been gaming. I'll play for a couple hours, then it shuts down (from what I assume to be overheating or possibly a power supply issue) and doesn't start back up efficiently for a good few minutes. A friend told me that overheating could be the issue, but the more likely problem is the power supply, and I want some confirmation on that.

I already ordered a heatsink to deal with heating issues, but should I also order a new PSU? Currently using a XFX TS Series 750W 80 Plus Bronze Certified.

The XFX is a high quality unit made by Seasonic. Install the new heatsink first to see if that fixes the problem before buying a new PSU.

Just happened again, without having a game running. Hooked up a couple random case fans lying around to try and cool down a little, but not sure how effective it'll be.
