Hello! I`m currently having some problems with my computer. I recently uptdated to Win 8.1. After I did that i`ve been having some trouble. The thing is that my pc freezes. Usually while loading BF4 maps, but also at other stuff, like after an GPU benchmark, but not while doing a benchmark (For now).

I did not have issues like this with Win 7.

I do belive it is because of windows 8, i`m a little afraid it is my GPU. Altough I don`t think it is that.

My specs

CPU : 4770k OC 4,2 -1.250V

GPU`S : SLI ASUS GTX 770 DC2

16 gb ram (Don`t remember name atm)

PSU : Corsair 760i

Motherboard : Asrock z87 killer fatality

It is not my CPU temps.

Not my GPU temps.

Not my MOBO Temps.

Most probably not my PSU.

Anyone with any similar problems and/or solutions?

It also crashed when I exited Assasins Creed : Black flag. It seems like it`s always crashes when I end something. The issue have only happend though after WIN 8. What do you guys think it could be?

Well, I should mention, I did have a lot of problems before WIN 8 aswell. The problems really started with SLI. I got SLI some days before WIN 8 and could not really play. Actually when I think a little more about it, I remember the computer just shutting down (the screen either went black or blurry. And the Win7 would not always work after that. I had to repair with a CD several times.

Sorry for the late info. I was a little unsure about the timing of the problems.

But the card is still in there. It stills draws power and the fans are running. I just disabled SLI. The PSU should not be the problem.

Just did the math.

http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine it says 662 is enough..

And just to be clear, if the PSU was to weak, Woulden`t the whole computer just shut off? It only freezes!

Well it doesn`t crash now with SLI disabled, but yes, I was planning on doing that.To check with one card at the time.

only in SLI mode his system crashes.....black screen ....

its caused ....due to low power supply to GPU

Yeah, my PSU is not the problem. I`ve done the calculations and the PC would not freeze, but just turn itself off, if it was the PSU, correct? And even though SLI itself is disabled, the card itself is using the normal power consumption.

My best guesses right now are driver problems or the card itself really. Any comments?

What really gets me, is the freezing after heavy programs, never under. Just right after.

I`ve done that several times already! When my pc started freezing I thought it was the CPU so I removed my os by resetting BIOS.

I just activated SLI and took two benchmarks, after the second (Right after quitting) my computer snapped and needed to restart and I get the error "kmode exception not handled" It usually just freezes, but this has actually happend once or twice before.

Any point in removing and installing the gpu drivers again?

It`s kinda weird that the card works fine under the test (Got 3700 in score in valley bencmark 1.0.) But crashes after. Could it be a software bug?

**Update**

I tried to install latest BIOS and I turned on SLI again after. Not only did it freeze but half the screen went blue while "blurring". Surely it must be a bad GPU?

Well, my PSU is brand new and buying a new and stronger one is last resort for me.
