Hi everybody! I have recently bought a MSI i875p motherboard for my computer. Everything is running fine on it except for one thing. Whenever I try to install a program from a CD, sometimes it would skip files. For example when I tried to install windows XP, it would say that a certain file is missing. Then I click on "retry" and it would find the file and continue on with the installation. Also when I try to install a game like Rise of Nations, it would crash in the middle of the installation saying "bad data file". I took the same CD and tried it on my other computer and it ran fine. Well here are the hardwares that I have running in my computer: P4 2.6 Ghz 800fsb, corsair dual 400ddr memory, sound blaster audigy 2, PNY Verto FX5200 Ultra, Western Digital 120 Gb with 8 Mb cache. I was wondering what the problem is. Is the the problem with the memory? or is it the hard drive that is skipping files? Your opinions are greatly appreciated.
