Question computer disconnecting and connecting again

i have 500/500 Mbps but the cables in my walls are cat5 so i am only getting around 100/100. could this be the reason my computer is disconnecting and connecting or is it something else entirely. also just updated my ethernet adapter drivers, so that shouldnt be a problem

Unknown. Run a new cat5e or cat6 cable across the floor to the router. Does that change anything?
Even cat5 may work for gigabit if properly terminated. Do you know if all 8 wires are correctly terminated at the wall plugs?
