Hello,
So my Windows computer has been periodically having moments where the screen goes black for a few seconds, then the screen returns. During this "blackout" time, I can still hear the volume and control with the keyboard/mouse - it is only the video that stops working temporarily.
After this was occurring for a few weeks, there were times where it didn't come back and I had to restart the system to get the display back.
Finally, the display stopped working permanently. Even when I restart the computer I get the "no input" message on the display.
Notes:
- I have tried my monitor with a different computer and it worked - so it's not the monitor.
- My drivers are all up to date.
- I've done a cleaning inside the tower (dusting).
- I wasn't able to retrieve my system specs before the display permanently died, so unfortunately I can't provide these.
- I built the system back in 2012. Since then I've replaced the RAM and the liquid cooling. Besides those things, everything is from 2012.
My feeling is that I may need to replace the graphics card, but I'm not an expert on the issue. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
