Computer does detect sound coming out, but I no say is coming out.

Hi guys I have recently upgraded my computer to windows 64 bit ultimate.Since I've upgraded, no sound has been coming out of the computer, speakers, headphones and so on.
I've tried anything but updating my drivers since I am not sure that it's possible with my motherboard. What do I do? Does anyone knows a universal update link maybe? All help will be appreciated.

go to control panel->sound->play back. Try selecting other speakers, if no others show up try right click "show disabled/disconnect devices"

Odds are it's trying to output your sound to your monitor.
