Here are the steps of what happened.

So, for starters, everything was fine apart from my printer not working. When I made sure my printer was in working order, I plugged it in to a USB port and rebooted the computer. The pages that were in the queue of the computer instantly started printing.

Fine. So far so good.

But to my horror something new was going on. The computer would not go past the BIOS screen. It would flash an image of the desktop on the screen and die.

I think I need to find a way to restart my computer in safe mode but it has been many years since I did this. The BIOS settings is another option I can explore.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

If your system has 2 sticks of ram, try one stick. If you have an iGPU and a discrete GPU, remove the discrete GPU and try and work with the iGPU.
