Computer does not recognise DVD ROM drive

Hello,
I have a Sony vaio running on vista. My computer after booting does not recognize the CD/DVD drive. In device manager there is a yellow sign on it. What can i do. I have tried uninstalling the device and restarting the computer, but this has not fixed the problem

Whenever you see an yellow sign for any device in the device manager you can
assume that the device is not properly installed or configured with it's drivers.

i think you should install the drivers for your device.Try searching for the drivers in
the bundled cd(if any) or search for latest drivers for the drive from the manufacturer's site.

This should solve the problem.
