Good evening,

As the community of tomshardware helped me out a lot before, I wanted to ask about an important issue again. Yesterday everything was working fine, but while using Audacity today, I noticed that it wasn't recording my microphone's audio and then I tested on other programs like Discord and it's not working in calls either. I tried to reinstall the realtek audio driver and it didn't change anything.

So the system is not finding the microphone, which is a headset microphone from a turtle beach px22.

Maybe I'm forgetting to tell more details, but, please, if I am, tell which.

Thank you.

Solution
1) did you try on a different PC?

2) do you have another MICROPHONE to test?

3) is it enabled in "Recording Devices"?
-right-click AUDIO icon in System Tray
- observe the "Default Device"

4) any chance your microphone is not plugged into the headphone or PC correctly?

Your answer was picked as a solution because... the p2 that connects on the mix volume, bass board thing wasnt all the way through. So yes, it wasnt totally connected. But other than that, even though I can't test it on another pc, there would be no reason to happen, you know? I didn't even disconnected and it was working fine until yesterday... I guess when I disconnected and connected again, but not completely right lol

The usb wasn't the problem, but yeah, I wanted to buy one of these for a while too either way so thanks again.
