To describe my situation is going to take a while to be honest. This issue started on the 7th and 17th of August and at first my computer would shut down and restart itself. After a couple of hours it would boot up normally and it continued to work normally until the 17th then it happened again but this time it just shut down and would not turn back on.

I have gone to NCIX for a diagnostic and they basically did nothing, told me all my components were fine and they left my PC on for 2 days and there were no shut downs at all. I bring my PC home and I try using a different outlet and surge protector and at the first try of starting my computer it turns on but shuts down afterwards and does not turn back on. After all of this I decided to replace my motherboard and processor in case there were bad ports or a shorting issue and yesterday when I reassembled my computer in a new case with the new parts, I also used a different power cord and a new surge protector but I got the same issue AGAIN. It would turn on then shut down and I would not be able to turn it on.

Fast forward to today and I tried starting my computer again and this time it boots up fine and I go through the whole process of installing Windows and activating it, then I shut down my computer manually and I try to turn it on but it just doesn't turn on again, the PSU makes a clicking noise then nothing.

My Specs are:
Intel Core i7 4790K Quad Core @ 4GHZ
ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer ATX LGA1150
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5
Cooler Master V750 - Compact 750W 80 PLUS Gold Modular PSU
Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3
Crucial BX200 480GB SATA SSD

Solution
If you replaced the mobo, power supply, and CPU... along with the case, then you accomplished all that I had suggested and then some. You need not concern yourself with it anymore, assuming your computer boots up now.
that clicking noise is indicative of a short to ground somewhere, usually motherboard to chassis, but possibly wiring. Go over everything... I would suggest disassembling the whole PC (video card, ram, everything, and motherboard too). Then reassemble it carefully. This should do the trick

This was over 2 weeks ago and what I ended up doing was replacing the motherboard, power supply, and processor and I built my computer in a new case. Nothing has happened so far but if you're saying this was a grounding issue then should I be concerned?

I know i am bumping an old thread, but i had this same problem the last 2 weeks and found the solution. That way if anyone in the future finds this thread, they wont have to buy a whole new system like the maker of this thread did. At first when my pc just randomly turned off and had hard time starting, sometimes i could change to another power plug in the wall and it would start, other times i just had to wait for a while with the power totally cut off until it could start again.

I bought a new PSU, but it kept happening, and suddenly the psu made clicking noise, my old psu did not do that. So at first i thought that i had goten a bad new PSU, but i wanted to make sure, since these problems seemed to be way to similar to the old problem with the random shutdowns.

I tested a new motherboard and everything went fine after that. The psu stopped making the clicking noise, and no more random shutdowns.

So this is some kinda strange motherboard issue. I hope that can help some people in the future.
