Computer does the weirdest thing

I have a computer that does the weirdest thing. On a cold startup in the morning the drives will spin up but nothing. Shut it down and wait 5 min...Power up again and the drives will spin up, monitor will click on but nothing on the screen. Wait 5 min and do it again and the computer will work. I just put in two different new PSUs and it still does this. When its warm its fine. In the AM I have to go through the ritual. Why would it do this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for asking. I put in a new MB battery too as a precaution.
