I've recently bought a new mouse, the CM Storm Havoc. However, when i try to boot the computer with the mouse plugged in, the screen doesn't even get to the motherboard picture where i can acces the bios. It stays black with ''9C'' in the corner in the right down. With my other mouse the computer boots fine.
I've already tried these things:
- Set it so the computer only boots the harddisk and the CD/DVD Drive
- Updated the Motherboard drivers
- Installed the USB Drivers again

I also can't acces the BIOS with the Havoc plugged in, because i need a mouse to navigate there, and two mouses dont work.

Any help is appreciated.

Solution
Surely if the mouse is causing conflicts with the bios functioning then drivers wont help because they are being loaded later in the start up process. You should think maybe about starting the PC without the Storm mouse, accessing the bios and seeing if it possible to deactivate mouse control in the bios menus - I assume the problem arises because bios requires the mouse to work and the conflict is preventing it from loading properly.

Either that or check if there is a newer bios version for your mainboard that may have fixed the problem.

Or just get into the habit of plugging your mouse in after booting the PC... not greatly practical but not the end of the world either :)

i would say that your post start up is not set up right.
try booting the pc in to bios and looking at your boot sequence it should be hdd or ssd first then any second,ry drive i.e hdd, ssd, or dvd drives then your usb drive for external devices like hdd , usb mouse , flash drive so on so on.
when you have do that you need to go to advanced in the bios and look for Legacy Usb Support or usb Device Legacy Support and change the setting.

I got simillar problem: won't boot with any flash drive plugged into usb hub and won't access bios to make any changes. I can get BIOS with flash drives removed, but then I can't change the boot order which, the last time I saw, had the flash last on the list. So why is it trying to boot from the usb?
