Hey!

I've been experiencing some issues with my computer where that when I turn off my computer, the computer itself does not turn off. The screen will go black but will still be illuminated, my mouse and keyboard's leds will still be lit and the computer has fans whirring and leds on. I've tried leaving it in this state for 20 minutes, but to no avail. This issue occurs every other day (I use my computer regularly) and the only way for me to get the computer to shut down when it goes into this state is by holding the power button.

Any help on this issue is appreciated.

Thanks!

Solution
Alright, next thing is to make sure all programs are closed before powering down. Use Task manager to make sure everything is closed and there are no running tasks.
Sounds like your computers sleep settings have been configured incorrectly. Presuming you are using windows, go into Control Panel, Power settings and Reset all settings. Especially check under "Choose what Buttons do" and make sure power is set to shut down and not sleep or hibernate.

Everything was set correctly. This problem really only happens every other day, so I wouldn't think that would be the problem anyways

I've been trying that for the past couple of days, seems to have worked but I don't want to say anything yet. I'll confirm in a couple of days because I haven't been getting the issue since.

Ok! Everything seems to be good. I'll mark this as solution.
