So the other day I swapped out my friends CPU cooler because his computer was overheating and shutting down when starting up a game. After the swap, I started up his computer and it shuts right down. I unplugged the dedicated power cord to his hard drive and plugged the hard drive into the power cord that is shared with his disk drive and the computer starts up, but the hard drive is not listed at all. I reset the bios settings to default, tried swapping boot settings, set everything to auto. Nothing. I don't understand how a heatsink swap led to this. He went out and bought a new hard drive and it's doing the same exact thing. He has a Asus Sabretooth motherboard, Gtx 970 video card, AMD, 8 core, yada yada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!
