Computer don't recognize new installed ram

Hi,so i bought a 4gb ram to put it near my old ram,2gb,my motherboard suport 8gb(p5p41t le).The computer is starting,everythink was fine,but when i go to computer properties it say i have only 2gb ram,BIOS says the same,but cpu-z says that i have 6gb ram.What is the problem?Can someone help me?

Hello... 1) DID you save the BIO's settings and reboot?
2) Try just the 4gb sticks(s) only, save the BIO's settings and reboot, and check your computer properties.
3) Check your MB manual/PDF for proper/Best Ram positions for your RAM combination.

RAM should always be used in identical pairs. You are getting problems because you are using a 4GB stick with a 2GB stick.

Get another one of that 4GB stick. Take out the 2GB stick and put the second 4GB stick into the same colored slot as the first 4GB stick.

I already have another 4gb,the same model,i put them on slots but the computer is not booting,so i tried the old one with a new one.

2)Only one is not working
