My computer's mouse doesn't work on the actual desktop and using the computer apart from when I am in the system repair settings where I can see the mouse and use it, my keyboard doesn't work open starting and I have to wait untill it gets to the login screen for I to start working therefore I cannot enter the bios. I need to know how to fix this I have tried several ports and that hadn't helped. I have also got a windows media creation tool saved on my usb which I cannot entre as I can't set my computer to boot from usb. I need to know how to fix this my computer is fine and I can use it as long as my mouse works.. Thank you.
AMD graphics 8gb ram
Win 10 64 bit

what type of mouse is it? Generic or name brand? Same with keyboard.

Its possible you are just missing drivers perhaps from your motherboard makers web site.

Can you give us some more specs? Might be able to fix it without an install.

You should be able to get to the bios through advanced start up

Since mouse doesn't work on the desktop, use this combo
hit the windows key
this opens the start menu
use the tab key to move down to the power button
hit enter to open the power options
use down arrow to highlight the restart option
Holding shift, hit enter and you should get into advanced start up

Now you say the mouse works in here?
Select troubleshoot
select advanced
select UEFI Firmware settings - this should take you to bios

But you see, you don't need to use the USB,. you could just run reset from inside win 10

Instead of selecting UEFI Firmware, hit the back button so that you are on the same menu as troubleshoot
Select reset
you get two options - save files (Libraries) and Settings, or wipe it all
Once you choose, win 10 will save a few things, and then restart pc and reinstall a fresh copy of win 10

Now if this way into advanced start up doesn't work, there is another. Start pc, when it starts to load windows, hit the reset button and let it try again. Do this 4 times in a row and win 10 should load auto repair which takes you into the same blue menu as above.

The keyboard and mouse are both from China and were working fro several months, I have tried the advanced settings but after the restart my keyboard doesn't work once again... No way of get to bios unless it's actually from the desktop control panel etc. My pc was originally not starting and was stuck on chkdsk also if I skipped this by pressing any key then it would take me to black screen that would stay forever
