Computer Extremelly Slow

I have an Asus Laptop that I got about a year ago. it's running a core i5 2.2ghz, with a 2gb ram and a 940m nvidia graphics card. for a while now it's running extremely slow and I don't Know if it's because my hard drive is 3/4 full or some other issue. Thank you

-Check for viruses/malware using programs such as AVG/Malwarebytes free (Do full scans).

How large is your HDD and how much space have you used?
