[SOLVED] Computer extremely slow after downgrading from Windows 8 to 7 with official installation disk

I installed it to partition 0 and it takes about two minutes to do anything, as if the hard drive doesn't match the computer, even though it does. Could this be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issue? I wasn't confident this computer was 64 bit since it's from 2005 but I thought it said it was in system information.

I don't know if it was clearing the partition first or installing a 32 bit version but a reinstall fixed it.
