[SOLVED] Computer fan spins, no display at all

Hi,
I just recently built a PC. it has an i3 9100f and a gt 710 installed. It also has 32gb of ddr4 ram with a 300W power supply.

Also. When I boot it, the fans spin for around 3 seconds and then stop for 1 second, then keep on spinning after that. Could this be the issue. I have also already:

• Reseated ram and gpu
• Reseated plugs

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The i3-9100F:
1)Is compatible with B365 and Z390 boards out of the box.

2)B360, H310, H370, and Z370 boards require a bios update using an older 8th gen cpu before the 9100F will work.

3)Non 300 series aren't compatible at all.

4)Bent pins in the motherboard socket? You should've gotten a red cpu error LED if that happened.

So, where does your motherboard fall in all this?

I've got a h310cm motherboard from asrock with it. It says it supports 9th generation cpud?

So what do you recommend me to do?

A)Acquire an 8th gen cpu, with which to update the bios.
Whether that means borrowing said cpu from a friend, taking it to a PC shop, or buying an 8th gen Pentium/Celeron on the cheap in the 2nd hand market...

B)Return the current board and get a B365 one.

Ok thankyou! Another question though, im having trouble taking the psu cable out the board. Is this normal?

There is a 'hook' of sorts that you're supposed to press and hold, while you gently shimmy the plug out... unless you forced the plug in the wrong way...
