Computer Fans Louder After CPU Overclock?

Hello! I am having a problem where when I apply an overclock through the bios on my 4690k, the fan noise of my computer immediately gets louder. I'm not talking like faster rpms when the computer is working hard, just like louder right when I boot up. Does my motherboard automatically make my fans louder after overclock? My mobo is an ASRock Z97 Extreme4.

Your overclock probably turned off fan management. Are you using the stock cooler? If so I would advise swapping it out with an aftermarket CPU cooler. I don't trust the stock coolers for anything overclocked.

I'll check on the fan management thing. And no i'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus.

After Windows loads, are the fans still really load? When I boot my desktop, all the fans run loud at full speed until Windows starts loading. Once Windows loads, it is normal though because it has loaded my fan profile settings.
