I just overclocked my amd fx6300 to 4.4ghz from 3.5 and it feels slower than ever. The temps are extremely good, so thats not the case. mobo: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P gpu: r9 270x ram: 8gb ram. http://

Solution

Change the multiplier to 22 - highlighted
All the other options should be as shown.

You may have to up voltage slightly to gain stability past 4.2/4.3
In bios
Disable c1e States
Disable turbocore
Enable hpc (high performance computing mode)

In windows
Goto power option
Set to high performance

Run a prime95 blend test with amd overdrive CPU status tab onscreen.

Make sure all clocks are full speed & arecatv100% load with no fluctuation for the duration of the test run.
Make sure thermal margin doesn't drop below 19c.

Check prime worker windows for errors.

Edit - why are you upping the fsb ?? Change it back to 200 default mate - just use the multiplier .

What cooler are you using??

I cant seem to find the multiplier with this complicated bios? any other names for it? and c1e and turbo core is disabled. the cooler im using is a corsair h55

Give me an hour mate - I have the same board upstairs - in the middle of dinner at the mo.

You've obviously changed the multiplier & fsb though - how are you overclockin' exactly?? I'm assuming now you're using overdrive??

The stock multiplier is 17.5
The stock fsb is 200mhz.
