Question Computer freezes after 10-20 minutes of playing Valorant ?

Hey everyone,

I've been having troubles with my desktop computer lately.

CPU: I7-7700k
GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-A
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (I will check the specifics later, at work atm)
Hard Drives: (Not sure, will check later)
OS: Windows 10 Home Edition


Whenever I play Valorant, the computer freezes after approximately 10-20 minutes, with a buzzing sound coming out of the headphones. Once that happens, there's no way to return to Windows or to open the task manager. I have to turn off the computer by keeping the power button pressed. For now, it seems like this freezing only happens in-game. If I simply browse or use Windows it doesn't happen. The temperatures on idle and while gaming seem fine.

So far I've tried:

• Formatted and reinstalled Windows 10 and updated all the drivers
• Cleaned and removed the dust inside the case
• Cleaned CPU cooler and fan, and applied new thermal paste
• Tested my RAM with MemTest86 (no errors)
• Did a stress test on my GPU with FurMark (seems fine)
• Uninstalled VALORANT from the SSD and installed it on the HDD (still freezes)

Unfortunately this didn't help as the game still freezes.

Any ideas?

check cpu/gpu/motherboard temp?
