Question Computer freezes and makes a very loud noise in my headphones

I have this problem where at random points in time my whole computer will freeze, and a very loud static noise plays through my headphones. Does anyone know what part could be wrong with my computer? It used to only happen once a month or so but it just happened three times today.

check the cpu/gpu temp?
