I'm having a nightmare as the menus keep sticking on my homebuild.
When I hover the mouse over a folder or an icon, it takes numerous clicks to respond.
When I hover the mouse over the menu icon in Windows 7 it doesn't always light up like it should.
I ran numerous tests and they all run fine.
I took it also to a computer shop and it worked fine there, so I took it home and the problems was there again.
I took it back to the shop again and 'voila' it worked fine.
Now I am losing my hair fast.
What could it be? It's strange. Could my monitor be causing the problem?

You're not saying what system you have?

But we had a system just like that, turns out AMD Mobos auto-overclock to match the ram that is inserted.
We bought 1866 rams, and the cpu OC:d to match, which wasn't stable at his place.
But during maximum load it was stable at work.

We had new power installations made recently, so it's probably a borderline power supply problem.

Try resetting clocks to CPU stock.

I tried resetting the clocks to no avail.
the guy in the shop suggested a power problem so I bought a regulator and it was the same.
Maybe the motherboard is to blame.
Anymore suggestions?
