Recently started having this issue, my hardware setup is great so there *shouldn't* be any issues originating from it...

Basically whenever I have a game open or am mining cryptocurrency my computer can freeze, this only happens with heavy games or mining, when it happens the screen may still show a still image but with no response at all.

Any ideas?

Check for heat in your components. I used to have horrible BSODs, crashes to desktop, and freezes, and it turned out that either the motherboard or the CPU (or both?) was overheating.

Not really a possibility, I have dedicated CPU cooling. It may be memory as I got beeps once when trying to turn comp on.

General heat in the case could still overheat the mobo. That's unlikely though. Do a memtest to stress test the RAM.
