Hello all, this is my first time i post here. I have Fujitsu SIEMENS Scaleo P computer
My specs are:
2GB RAM 1 stick
HDD WD5000AAKS 500GB
MS-7504 (V1.X) Mainboard Motherboard
Processor is core 2 quad, but i dont know exactly how much GHz it has.
I put out graphic card cus it takes too much room in pc, i'm using intergrated graphics till i solve my problem.

OK here is my problem

First it begun with freezing randomly. After a while when i used to start my computer it froze at windows logo screen. After restart computer would work. That happened for a month. Now when i start computer it freeze on windows logo screen no matter how much i restart it.

So i got my friends computer. I took his Power supply into my computer, same problem.

I took my RAM stick into his computer, it was working normaly, so i think its not RAM problem.

I inserted his HDD into my computer, it freezes on the same spot, at the windows logo screen.

I tried to unplug everything and plug it again.
I changed thermal paste on processor.
I unplugged any unnecessary cabels. Power supply is connected with 2 cables to motherboard, hdd is connected with sata cable, and cpp;er os cpmmected with motherboard.

Can u please help me i'm trying to solve this for more than 10 days...

Solution
Did you try installing Windows on the same suspect drive? If so, I'd suggest that you try it on a new drive.

Another thing you may want to look at since your machine is quite old. Have a look at the electrolytic caps on the motherboard and see if any are swollen or leaking. If you aren't sure what I mean, just ask and I will link some pictures of what to look for.
Taking a drive from another computer and putting it in yours and having it freeze during loading is actually quite normal behavior unless you friend has exactly the same computer you have. It's tripping up on the fact that the hardware is different.

I would personally guess that it's your hard drive at this point, or something corrupted in the filesystem on the hard drive.

Well, you already isolated the problem.

"Try your friends hard disk on your computer"... it wont work properly, because the OS on the HDD was installed with diferent components.

The logical next step is to get a spare HDD, install windows on it, then attach your old drive as a secondary storage to recover your files.

The problem might be caused by a deffective HDD or a corrupted OS.
