Computer freezes or experiences BSOD

Hi everyone, it's been years since I came here but I remember Tom's Hardware being the place to resolve serious computer issues.

So my computer started acting up recently. It would either freeze or show me the Blue Screen of Death, and now every time I start the computer, it insists on checking my disk, without any success. I've attached some screenshots.

I hope someone here would be able to help. Kinda frustrating to be restarting my computer every now and then. Thanks.

Probably a hard disk failure. You said your computer was having problems recently, makes sense that the hard drive was slowly dying. Can you boot to safe mode? Run a memory test just to rule out RAM errors and try booting with only one RAM stick and no peripherals (just the HDD, mouse and keyboard).
