Hello,
I've been expriencing a problem for quite some time now.
Every once in a while ( it happens much more frequently recently), my comp freezes, and when i reboot the hard drive isn't recognized. even if I try to restart the computer again, usually it won't recognize it unless I manually unplug the hard drive and replug it.
I tried to replace my drive but to no avail.
Do you have any idea what can cause such a problem? I really don't wanna replace the whole thing just because of this problem 🙁
thanks~

Solution
ben if the hard drive works fine in another pc. check the power supply with a volt meter or see if someone has a test power supply. with hard drive dropping from the bios can be the drive controller itself or the cable or the mb chipset or a power issue. as you posted you used another hard drive and the issue still there i would try another power supply and cable to the hard drive.
