Computer freezes randomly all of a sudden

Hello,
just wondering how i would figure out whats up with my computer freezes that started happening like a week back. nothing new installed no viruses, did a defrag. i got windows 7 32bit and these freezes appear very random. from just staying on desktop, in game or even once on my windows error recovery screen from restarting after a freeze. dont believe its a heating issue and dunno why its happening all of a sudden
cpu: intel pentium dual core (oc 3.3)
mobo: gigabyte g41m es2l
ram: 1x2gb ddr2 800
vid card: nvidia 9800gt

You are overclocking it looks like, stop. Test things out then.

Have you tried different RAM?

how do i reverse the oc back to default specs? im pretty sure when my friend guided me through the oc we didnt touch the voltage. my processor is an intel 5400 that went from 2.7 to 3.3ish
i dont have any different ram to test out on it

That's usually done in the BIOS, set that to defaults.
