Just built a PC last night. Whenever I try to download something (drivers, games, etc) it usually freezes or crashes my computer. Playing a game freezes it too. I've already tried updating all of the drivers, doing clean boots, updating BIOS, among other things.

Build:
CPU: Intel i7-7700K 4.2GHz
Cooler: Deepcool Captain 240EX
Mobo: Maximus IX Code
RAM: 2x8 G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500Gb
GPU: GTX 1080Ti 11Gb Strix
PSU: EVGA 750w P2
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
OS: Windows 10 Home

Solution
Find the reason for the crashes.

Open Event Viewer and see what may have been recorded in the logs just before or at the time of the crashes.

The following link from within this forum will help you with Event Viewer:

http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-3128616/windows-event-viewer.html

See what you can find and google for more information.

Do not immediately react to any given "fixes". Some websites show up no matter what problem is presented.

Your objective is to find some error code or warning that will identify or lead to the cause of the freezes.
