CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit)
These are my (important) specs, just posting this here to save time.
Recently when trying to run a game like Civ V or Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed at max settings at 1080p, a strange buzzing noise is emitted out of my speakers and the fans of my graphics card whir quicker than I've seen them whir, leaving me with the sole option of turning my computer off (it is completely unresponsive). There is no error message, no blue screen, just my computer going in a state where it cannot do anything, forcing a hard reset. Sometimes the same problem happens and it restarts. I have been using this build for 3 months and I have been able to run all sorts of games like Crysis 2 with no problem. This problem has only been happening recently.
I have checked my temps with HWMonitor, while idle and while in a game and they are fine as far as I can tell. 20-40 degrees with my GPU, and 30-55 degrees with my CPU.
I have also reverted to previous drivers, dusted my GPU and reinstalled my OS. None of these worked. I'm currently thinking of RMAing the GPU, should I?
Thanks in advance.
