Computer freezes with certain programs using sound, loops sound, display driver stopped working,

Basically I first noticed something wrong about 6 months ago using any type of sound off my computer, I'd be listening to music and it would slow down and distort and then speed back up to get where it should be. I system recovered to remove and update that I assumed was causing the issue, never had problems again.

The past few months I noticed this new issue using Reaper a recording software. I would be playing back my recording and the computer would just freeze. But, I would still be able to click, there was just a really long delay between everything.

I thought nothing of it but now its been months of this and its affecting other programs such as Mumble or Ventrilo or Skype sometimes Youtube.

So basically while using these programs I'll notice the sound freeze or loop like a broken record and my computer fan will go to a low hum as if its not running any programs. I have a picture of what looks like a halt in my cpu,memory, disk, and wifi, and then it spikes once it starts running again

To fix the issue I usually click furiously on the file explorer icon till it I guess overloads the computer into turning into a black screen, then reloading everything with this error.

updated bios

When you updated the drivers, did you remove the old drivers first?
