Computer freezes with loud crackling sound from speakers

Hi ,

recently I bought a new build to gift my brother on his bday. unfortunately I am facing a problem, not at all a simple one. its very disappointing for me .

When I play games like FIFA 10, 12 , nfsmw 12 , or any game my computer just freezes with no BSOD, no error messages, just the last frame on the screen with a very loud, annoying buzzing sound. It's getting very annoying and happens very commonly, but only in game

Some one please help me with this, Its been less than 1 month I got this pc.

System Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3550 @ 3.3 GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte b75M-D3H
GPU: NO Gpu
RAM: Corsair vengeance 4gb ddr 3 1600Mhz
HDD: 1 Tb segate hard disk
PSU: cooler master thunder 450w
OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Scree: LG 17 inch

Have you installed the drivers for the onboard stuff? Also, be sure to look at your temperatures.

yup, I installed all the drivers for on board graphics. temps are normal.

can some please help me in this situation. I installed 64 bit intel latest drivers, also ran all the required driver checks using intel driver utility. from yesterday I faced it once while playing fifa 12.

Its very random bro, but I could say it happens when I play games mostly, there are situations where PC freezes when I am browsing too.

I changed the ram speed in bios to 800 mhz. till now there is no crash, but there is change in performance.

Is it due to ram?
