My computer has randomly started to freeze up with no BSOD. Literally the screen just freezes and the mouse doesn't move, and I cannot ctrl+alt+delete. Everything just literally locks up, and never comes back even after hours. Have to hard reset.

I have run a memory test which was fine.
I have updated Bios and drivers.
I have no out of the normal CPU or GPU temperatures.
Everything is plugged in correctly to the motherboard.

Things that make it lock up on a consistent basis recently:

1. Opening Ableton Live 9 makes it freeze up within a few seconds
2. Updating my Nvidia Driver from the "NVIDIA GeForce Experience" panel will freeze it up while updating
3. Trying to run a backup of all my computers files will cause it to freeze within any number of minutes.

I can browse the internet all day and it will run fine, youtube, browinsg, whatever. I can play any video games that are on my computer and it won't freeze.

I have absolutely no idea where to go from here and would really love some help. Thank you.

I would go into windows control panel, find the graphics card high definition sound driver and disable it.
Then boot into BIOS and reset it to defaults to get it to reassign hardware settings (DMA channels, and interrupts)
if your motherboard has any sound devices you don't use, disable them in the BIOS.
boot winodows, run your Ableton Live 9
and see if it freezes.

if it does: boot windows again, change your memory dump type to kernel
https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/111474.aspx
run cmd.exe as an admin and run
verifier.exe /standard /all

google "how to force a memory dump with a keyboard"
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff545499%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

then reboot your machine.

start windows, attempt to run your ableton live 9 software, if it locks up, wait 5 mins and see if verifier catches a deadlock and calls a bugcheck. If it does not then use the keyboard to force a memory dump. Then copy the memory.dmp file c:\windows\memory.dmp to a server like Microsoft onedrive and post a link and I will take a quick look with a windows debugger.

Ok I couldn't find any options for graphics at all in my BIOS.
Also, you asked mt to change the memory dump type to kernel, but the link you provided is how to change it to a complete memory dump. Just confirming that you did in fact want kernel and not complete.

Ok I just ran verifier, exe /standard /all and then i restarted my computer and a blue screen came up saying an error was detected or something and went away very quickly. Now I cannot get to my log into windows screen where I put my password it. It prompts me to launch startup repair, that is the only option. Fml.

And now my mouse doesn't work when I'm in startup recovery...I think I am just going to have to reinstall windows. Ugh.

Ok I took a video with my phone and was able to pause what the blue screen says.

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A device driver attempting to corrupt they system has been caught. The faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced with a working version. If this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new instillation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware. Disable BIOS memory options such as cahing or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart and press f8, and select safe mode. Technical information...." Then it cuts off

normally you would boot into safe mode, (F8 or shift+f8) turn verifier.exe off via verifier.exe /reset
reboot back to normal mode, then copy your memory dump c:\windows\memory.dmp up to a server and post a link.

I am unable to locate any memory.dmp file on my whole computer. I looked at the path that it would save that file to and it was "%SystemRoot%/memory.dmp, or something like that.

note: remove old antivirus software from 2011
\C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SASDIFSV64.SYS Thu Jul 21 16:03:00 2011
\C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SASKUTIL64.SYS Tue Jul 12 14:00:01 2011

check these two audio driver for updates:
nVidia HDMI Audio Device (nForce chipset driver)
\SystemRoot\system32\drivers\nvhda64v.sys Tue Dec 18 21:41:41 2012
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Driver
\SystemRoot\system32\drivers\nvvad64v.sys Thu Nov 20 07:33:54 2014

update Asmedia 106x SATA Host Controller Driver
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\asahci64.sys Wed Sep 21 02:42:57 2011
(look on asrock website for update for your board)

your Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet NDIS6.x Unified Driver
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\k57nd60a.sys Mon May 09 21:42:30 2011
is pretty old you should look for a update:
either from your motherboard vendor or from broadcom:http://www.broadcom.com/support/

your intel usb 3.0 drivers are pretty old (2012) you should get new ones from your motherboard vendor or intel.

looks like your intel storage drivers are old also (2012) you should get new ones from intel or your mother board vendor. here is intel site:https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel+Rapid+Storage+Technology+(Intel+RST)
you might try the intel update utility ( you have various out of date intel drivers)
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

you have a old FNet Turbo HDD USB Driver - Also part of AsRock XFastUSB package
\SystemRoot\System32\drivers\FNETURPX.SYS Wed May 30 20:00:47 2012

you should update or better remove this driver (non standard USB 3.0 support)

I would also update or remove:
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\AsrAppCharger.sys Tue May 10 01:28:46 2011
I would remove this if you are not charging APPLE devices on your machine.
even then I would try to update it.

----------------

I would update this driver or remove it from your system if you expect plug and play to actually work. Remove the driver, reboot, reapply the verifier flags and reboot and see if the system finds any more problems. This problem would make your system unresponsive in certain cases (anything involving hardware changes)

ISO Mounter driver from NATIVE INSTRUMENTS
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\NIWinCDEmu.sys Wed Sep 26 04:40:33 2012

this driver broke windows plug and play.

looks like you also have two devices disabled:

and
InstancePath is "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162&SUBSYS_01621849&REV_09\3&11583659&0&10"
ServiceName is "igfx"

It froze up one more time, although Ableton Live seems to be working. It crashed as I was download and installing all of those drivers. So only the internet and 1 installer at a time was opened.

well, make sure your cd emulator was removed first. (NIWinCDEmu.sys) (remove it and reboot)
any changes in hardware drivers while it is installed could hang your system in plug and play.
