Hello guys and I'm new to this website forum. I've been having a problem ever since i installed a new motherboard and processor and new memory. My computer seems to freeze whenever i try to run final fantasy xiv benchmark test or windows experience index. I haven't tried to run any video games because I thought it would freeze anyways. I thought it was because I didn't install a fresh new windows 7 so I rebooted my computer and the problem still occurs. I'm trying to get it to work in order to play video games. I have updated everything from video card to bios to drivers for everything. Could this be the fault of a defective motherboard? or memory sticks? or overheating? Plz help

My specs are:
MB Name:Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.H77M-D3H
CPU Name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory information :Total physical memory 8153 MB Corsair XMS3
OS information :Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit version
Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 RX 750 W
Video card: GTX 670

Solution
It maybe you don't fresh install the win7 too, and you can try to do the repair win7 following the link. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ss/windows-7-startup-repair.htm

If you done the repair win7, the PC still freeze then it maybe cause by the psu.

I guess that is the PSU, here is from the review "measures maximum power: 583.9W at 45.6C" http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-TR2-RX-750-W-Power-Supply-Review/902/8 and the GeForce GTX 670, on your average system the card requires you to have a 500~550 Watt power supply unit. It is from the review too. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_670_2_and_3way_sli_review,4.html

When you run the benchmark the system will run everythings in the high performances (CPU and GPU) so the system need more power but PSU can't provide the power. Then the PC will freeze.

nIt may very well end up being the PSU... but not because it isn't large enough. 750W is way more than needed for what you have listed. If it is for sure the PSU, it will because it is a poor quality PSU. Thermaltake are not know for their high quality.
