Computer freezing after starting up

Hello everyone, I just installed a new PSU, it's a Corsair MX850 I believe. My specs are an i5 3570k, 8gb ram, CF 7950's and two HDD's. The problem is that I replaced my PSU which was a 750w because it would freeze after the computer would be started up for maybe 30secs. Now this PSU is doing the same thing, the 7950's are sapphires and they are running at base clock. Please help as I'm going out of my mind!!

i would doubt that your PSU is at fault. is your CPU overclocked?
