Recently I upgraded from an 8320, 760GMA-P34 mobo, and 1050ti to a 7600k, asrock z270, and a 6gb evga 1060 so I can play Andromeda. Everything runs fine while I play the game. Then when I go to exit out of the game the computer it closes the game and after about 30-45 seconds of my home screen it freezes and I have to flip the switch on the power supply to reset it. The few times it doesn't freeze on me when I exit the game it will freeze the next time I turn on my pc. The thing that I can't figure out is that it's only when I play andromeda. I went a week without playing it and it never happened through all my binge playing of Overwatch, fallout 4, and the witcher 3. Someone said it might be windows so I went ahead and reinstalled windows 10. All my drivers have been reinstalled and updated. That's the extent if my knowledge so I'm out of things to try. Any ideas on what it could be or help would be appreciated.

I had same problem on BF4. The problem for me was that directx was corrupted in the bf4 game..
And because directx is imprinted in windows, I hade to take a clean install of Windows. Installed BF4, While installing you get asked if you want to update directx, I declined. An then I didnt have any more problems

Have you tried to uninstall ME:Andromeda? Remove EVERY file, even save.profile etc...

If you dont want to start from the beginning, just move your save file in an another folder.

I have reinstalled Andromeda. I don't think I was asked about updating directx though. I may try to reinstall windows again and look for that while installing andromeda. Also when reinstalling windows do I have to do a complete uninstall and reinstall or can I use the "Reset this PC" option in Windows 10?

Alright thank you. I'll do that tonight after class.
