So for sometime i have been getting computer lockups and cant do anything but having to restart. At the start i didn't really mind this but lately its been getting worse and worse.

Firstly i thought it was windows problem and decided to change it but it is still locking up, the i bought a new power supply but that dint help either. I tried running the ram in different slots, it looked like that helped but it screwed up again. When i run prime95 the computer surprisingly doesn't lock up.
I think the mobo or the cpu are the cause of this but not sure.
I'm running out of ideas what can be wrong with the computer.

Thanks for help in advance!

PC specs;
CPU- amd fx 6100
mobo- Asus sabertooth 990fx
GPU- Asus hd 6770
Ram- 16gb Gskill ripjaws z

Ya thats what i think but i cant find any program to actually diagnose it. But its weird how the cpu freezes on idle a lot but when playing games it just runs fine, as if it wants to run on high frequency
