Computer freezing at motherboard logo

So occasionally when I start up my computer from a cold boot, it freezes while showing my motherboard logo and sometimes the words that tell me what button to press to go to BIOS is distorted. But after a restart or two my computer boots and works fine. Can anyone help me with this problem?

CPU: Intel i7-4790k
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VII Hero
PSU: EVGA 850W G2
Memory: G.Skill Trident X 32gb @ 2400Mhz
Storage: 120gb Samsung EVO 840
240gb Samsung EVO 840
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970

Have you checked Asus's website to see if there is newer firmware for your mobo? I would start there.
